Marianna’s organic grape leaves, which have been on the shelves of Greek stores since 1994 and are exported throughout Europe, North America and Japan, have already been distinguished many times in Greece by specialized magazines (Gourmet, VimaGourmet, Gastronomos, Olive, etc.). They have also received distinctions in the international Great Taste Awards competition. Specifically, the judges of the 2013 competition awarded one star and noted: “We liked the structure of the product and its ability to serve as a base for many recipes. We found their texture and flavor to be excellent. They hold their shape very well and have a light brine, allowing the addition of other ingredients“

Description
Since the late 80s, Marianna has been collecting and packaging a few vine leaves for her own needs every spring. Gradually, production grew to satisfy the needs of relatives and friends. Systematic production and marketing began in the spring of 1994, at the urging of her acquaintances. A production of 500 jars of 400 grams (drained weight) was enough to make Marianna’s Vineleaves’ superior quality known in the world of good Greek cuisine.
Starting in the kitchens of the best restaurants and catering companies, Marianna’s Vineleaves (or Grape Leaves) became a hit from the very first moment. Demand multiplied and the need to satisfy consumer needs grew year after year. The unique quality of the product was complemented in 1997 with the addition of the organic status. With special care and abstinence from chemical pesticides and fertilizers, Marianna’s Vineleaves became better than ever.
Production
Marianna’s Grape Leaves are offered to consumers packaged in pasteurized glass jars of 400 and 200 grams (drained weight). They are collected in the Kazakis family’s vineyards by a specialized team and immediately transported to the plant. There, quality control, weighing, packaging in rolls and careful placement in jars with brine take place. They are then pasteurized, undergo a final inspection, the label is placed and the jars are placed in cardboard boxes. The entire process, from harvesting in the vineyard to pasteurization, is completed within a few hours, so that you have all the freshness of the May vine leaves on your plate.
Packaging
Marianna’s Vineleaves are available as a pasteurized product in glass jars.
